Job summary

SWITS DIGITAL Private Limited is seeking a Test Engineer Cypress Automation Testing with 1–3 years of hands-on experience in software testing. You will develop and execute automated tests using Cypress, validating UI and API functionality, and work in an Agile/Scrum environment alongside developers and QA engineers.

Proficiency in JavaScript, Java, Python, or C# is valued, along with familiarity with CI/CD and defect-tracking tools.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in Software Testing/Automation Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress or equivalent automation testing frameworks.
• Strong understanding of UI, API, Functional, Regression, and Manual Testing.
• Experience developing and executing automation scripts using one or more of: JavaScript, Java, Python, C#.
• Experience in testing Web and/or Windows-based applications.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and Continuous Integration concepts.
• Experience with JIRA, QMetry, or similar test management/defect tracking tools.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to analyze test failures and debug automated test scripts.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and test steps based on user stories and feature descriptions in JIRA or test management tools.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Develop and maintain manual and automated test cases for web and Windows-based applications.
• Execute manual and automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and quality issues.
• Develop and execute UI, API, functional, regression, and bug-verification tests.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress or equivalent frameworks.
• Debug automation scripts and investigate unexpected test results to identify root causes.
• Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA, QMetry, or similar tools.
• Verify defect fixes and perform regression testing to ensure issues are resolved.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA engineers to improve product quality.
• Support test execution during releases and provide status reports.
• Identify QA process bottlenecks and suggest improvements to testing processes and automation coverage.
• Maintain test documentation and automation assets.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Test Engineer with 1 3 years of experience in software testing, with strong hands-on experience in automation testing using Cypress or equivalent frameworks. The candidate should have good knowledge of UI, API, functional, regression, and manual testing, along with experience in test case development, defect tracking, and CI/CD environments.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment and have programming experience in JavaScript, Java, Python, or C#.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Create detailed test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and test steps based on user stories and feature descriptions available in JIRA or test management tools.


• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.


• Develop and maintain manual and automated test cases for web and Windows-based applications.


• Execute manual and automated test cases and analyze test results to identify product defects and quality issues.


• Develop and execute UI, API, functional, regression, ad hoc, and bug-verification tests.


• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress or equivalent automation frameworks.


• Debug automation scripts and investigate anomalous or unexpected test results to identify root causes.


• Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA, QMetry, or similar test/defect management tools.


• Verify defect fixes and perform regression testing to ensure issues are successfully resolved.


• Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and other QA engineers to resolve defects and improve product quality.


• Support test execution during releases and provide test status and execution reports.


• Identify QA process bottlenecks and recommend improvements to testing processes and automation coverage.


• Maintain test documentation, automation scripts, test results, and defect records.


• Contribute to continuous improvement of test automation frameworks and QA processes.

Required Skills
