Job summary

NIIT Foundation in Navi Mumbai seeks a dynamic Cyber Security Trainer with a strong foundation in network security, ethical hacking, and AI. You will deliver practical training, mentor students, and conduct lab sessions as part of the Digital Transformation Van (DTV) initiative to empower underserved communities.

The Trainer will deliver the Cyber Smart AI Prime course and support Cyber Smart AI Workforce programs for college students and ITI/Polytechnic learners.

Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate in CS, cybersecurity, or AI.
• 1–3 years of training or teaching experience.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, network security, and intrusion detection.
• Hands-on experience with security tools and penetration testing.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

Position:Cyber Security Trainer

The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in delivering practical training, mentoring students, and conducting engaging lab sessions. Strong communication, content development, and assessment skills are essential, along with the ability to manage training MIS and coordinate program activities. Passion for teaching and staying updated with latest cybersecurity trends is a must.

About the Project

TheDigital Transformation Van (DTV)initiative aims to reduce the digital divide by delivering cybersecurity, artificial intelligence awareness, and digital skills training directly to underserved communities. The program focuses on empowering youth and students with future‑ready skills, career awareness, and practical knowledge through mobile training units and community engagement.

Position Overview

The Trainer will be responsible for delivering training under theCyber Smart AI Primecourse and supporting theCyber & AI Workforceprogram. The role involves conducting engaging training sessions on cybersecurity fundamentals and AI concepts forcollege students, graduates, and ITI/Polytechnic students (16 years and above). The trainer will also support student engagement, practical learning, and career awareness while ensuring effective implementation of training activities under the DTV project.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structured training sessions oncybersecurity concepts, network protocols, cryptography, and security practicesas per the course curriculum.
  
• Facilitate sessions onArtificial Intelligence fundamentals, including NLP, computer vision, machine learning, and AI applications.
  

• Deliver technical training on cybersecurity concepts and tools to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  
• Conduct hands‑on lab sessions and practical exercises on areas such as network security, ethical hacking, vulnerability assessment, and web security.
  
• Develop and update training content, lab exercises, and learning materials aligned with industry practices.
  
• Guide students on projects, assignments, and practical cybersecurity applications.
  
• Evaluate student performance through assessments, assignments, and project reviews.
  
• Maintain training MIS including attendance, assessments, feedback, and certification records.
  
• Stay updated with latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and best practices.
  

• Prepare lesson plans, presentations, and training materials and maintain attendance and training records.
  
• Support student mobilization, counselling, and community outreach to ensure participation in the program.
  
• Coordinate with the project team to maintain reports, documentation, and smooth implementation of training activities.
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate or Postgraduate inComputer Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, or related discipline.
  
• 1–3 years of experiencein training, teaching, or technical instruction preferred.
  
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, network security, ethical hacking, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  

• Hands‑on experience with security tools, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments, Networking Concepts.
  
• Prior experience in training, mentoring, or teaching is an added advantage.
  

• Strongcommunication, presentation, and mentoring skillswith the ability to engage youth and students.
  
• Basic proficiency inMS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and report preparation.
