Maersk is seeking a Sales Support professional in Chennai to strengthen client relationships and assist area sales across functions. You will monitor progress, drive value delivery, and coordinate with internal teams to address customer challenges and renewals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in Sales Support or Customer Support.
• Experience in account management and building customer relationships.
• Commercial knowledge and strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Supports Client Managers through standard channels and builds long-term customer relationships.

• Resolves customer challenges by coordinating with relevant teams.
• Manages CAT allocation and coordinates with customers to ensure commitments are delivered.
• Supports ocean and logistics contract renewals, tender handling, and contract management.
• Works with frontline sales on account planning, goals, and marketing strategies.
• Communicates service or rate changes to assigned accounts.
• Handles sales support tasks and commercial activities end-to-end.
• Supports management with day-to-day team needs, escalations, and training.
• Supports local and global initiatives across teams and countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Supports Client Managers through standard channels and builds long-term, trusted customer relationships.
• Monitors customer progress against goals and drives adoption, usage, business value, and overall relationship health.
• Resolves customer challenges by coordinating with relevant teams across the company.
• Manages CAT allocation and coordinates with customers to ensure commitments are delivered.
• Supports ocean and logistics contract renewals, tender handling, and contract management.
• Works closely with frontline sales on account planning, goal setting, and marketing strategies.
• Communicates service or rate changes to assigned accounts.
• Handles sales support tasks and commercial activities from start to finish.
• Supports management with day-to-day team needs, escalations, disputes, special projects, training, reporting, and backup coverage.
• Supports local and global initiatives, functional transformation, and commercial awareness across teams and countries.

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales Support or Customer Support within a similar area of expertise.
• Experience in account management execution and building customer relationships.
• Commercial knowledge.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to understand and address customer pain points.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Parameters for Success

• Shared success measures include Customer NPS, contract compliance, volume/FFE, L&S GP, and delivery on sales outstanding.
• Individual success measures include Customer NPS, contract compliance, volume/FFE, L&S GP, minimal customer churn, and delivery of sales support tasks and commercial activities.

NOTE: This is a Night Shifts role (6pm to 3am) & should be flexible for 5 days work from office
