Job summary

Bharat Logistics Solutions in Chennai seeks an experienced Client Operations Specialist to manage corporate import clients and oversee end-to-end Sea and Air import workflows.

You will handle documentation, CHA coordination, billing accuracy, and liaise with global partners to ensure smooth origin handling and healthy cash flow. Local candidates with IATA exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of core Customer Service / Operations experience in Freight Forwarding & CHA.
• Hands-on knowledge of Sea Import and Air Import workflows and customs processes.
• IATA-certified forwarder experience with direct airline co-loading and documentation preferred.
• Residing in or near Chennai for easy daily commute.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for corporate import clients with proactive daily tracking and updates.

• Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for corporate import clients, providing proactive daily tracking and updates.
• End-to-End Import Operations: Oversee customer service workflows for Sea and Air imports using our direct IATA airline allocations and shipping line networks.
• Documentation & Compliance: Manage and verify HBL/MBL, HAWB/MAWB, Arrival Notices (CAN), and Delivery Orders (DO) with zero errors.
• CHA Coordination: Coordinate with our internal Customs Clearance (CHA) team for swift cargo clearance at Chennai Port and Airport.
• Cost & Margin Control: Monitor shipments actively to eliminate container detention, port demurrage, and unnecessary operational costs.
• Billing & Finance: Generate accurate customer invoices, verify overseas agent billing, and ensure healthy cash flow cycles.
