Job summary

Vertoz Inc. in Navi Mumbai seeks a detail-focused Customer Onboarding Associate to review new customer applications, verify documents (KYC, tax and billing), and move cases through the approval workflow.

You will coordinate with sales, finance, compliance and support to resolve missing information, communicate next steps to customers by email/phone, keep records audit-ready, and report turnaround times.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any stream; 1–3 years in customer onboarding, operations, back-office or KYC processing.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document checking.
• Clear written and spoken English; professional customer communication.
• Comfortable with web-based systems, MS Excel or Google Sheets, and email tools.
• Ability to follow checklists and SOPs, meet SLAs and escape on time.

Responsibilities

• Review new customer applications and supporting documents (KYC, business proof, tax and billing details) for completeness and accuracy.
• Process each case in the system: update status, record decisions and reasons, and move it through the approval workflow.
• Coordinate with sales, finance, compliance and support to close missing information and approvals quickly.
• Communicate with customers by email and phone on pending documents and next steps.
• Flag suspicious, incomplete or non-compliant cases to your manager; never activate without required checks.
• Keep customer records clean and audit-ready; fix data errors and duplicates.
• Track turnaround time and pending cases, and share a daily or weekly status report.
• Report system bugs and suggest process improvements to the product and tech teams.
