Job summary

Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd is seeking a dynamic Portfolio Manager to oversee collections and asset recovery for retail loan portfolios. The role blends strategic oversight with on-the-ground execution to drive recovery and reduce delinquencies.

You will lead collections management, repossession and recovery, agency and field coordination, and legal/compliance coordination, ensuring adherence to bank policies and regulatory norms.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve collection efficiency across assigned retail loan portfolios.
• Ensure timely follow-ups and resolution of delinquent accounts.
• Analyze collection trends and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate repossession activities with repossession agents and oversee sale of repossessed assets to maximise recovery.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements during repossession.
• Liaise with external collection agencies and field executives; provide training and guidance to the collections team.
• Conduct field visits to support recovery efforts as needed.
• Coordinate with legal teams for initiating and following up on legal actions; ensure documentation and processes align with bank policies and regulatory norms.
