Educohire is seeking a Curriculum Developer for early childhood foundations in Mumbai. The role focuses on designing scope and sequence for foundational units, creating engaging lesson sequences, and aligning goals with pedagogy and assessments.

The candidate will collaborate with curriculum developers and teacher training teams, observe pilots, and integrate research into curriculum development to enhance learning outcomes for young children.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant education field.
• Teaching experience in early years (KG/Class 1).
• Experience in curriculum development for foundational learning.
• Knowledge of play-based and inquiry-based pedagogies.
• Experience with large-scale curriculum initiatives.

Responsibilities

Job description

Essential Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Language Education, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
• Teaching experience in JKGClass 1 or equivalent early years settings.
• Experience of curriculum development in foundational learning, including lesson planning, assessment creation and development of teacher resources.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have:
• Familiarity with play-based, inquiry-based, and developmentally appropriate pedagogies.
• Experience working with large-scale curriculum initiatives, school systems, boards, NGOs, publishers, or education organizations.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Design and develop the scope and sequence of units for the foundational stage.
• Apply domain expertise to create lesson sequences, learning goals, and engaging learning experiences that support children's development and learning.
• Ensure alignment between learning goals, instructional approaches, and assessments.
• Review and enhance lesson plans developed from scope and sequence documents to ensure academic quality and age-appropriateness.
• Collaborate with curriculum developers and teacher training teams to ensure coherence and progression across learning materials and grade levels.
• Observe/ Teach classroom pilots of curriculum units and use implementation feedback to strengthen curriculum design and effectiveness.
• Stay abreast of research and best practices in early childhood and foundational education and integrate relevant insights into curriculum development.
• No transport facilities.
