Job summary

Medico Hub in Raipur invites an experienced Consultant Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeon (CTVS) to join a multi-speciality hospital. The role includes OPD, IPD, OT, ICU and emergency duties, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and surgical excellence.

The candidate should have MBBS, MS/DNB General Surgery and MCh/DNB CTVS with valid registration, plus strong hands-on experience in cardiac, thoracic and vascular procedures. Immediate joiners preferred.

Qualifications

• MBBS as basic medical degree.
• MS or DNB in General Surgery.
• MCh or DNB in CTVS.
• Valid NMC / Chhattisgarh Medical Council registration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct CTVS OPD consultations and evaluate surgical cases.
• Diagnose and manage cardiac, thoracic and vascular conditions.
• Perform cardiac, thoracic and vascular procedures as per expertise.
• Manage elective and emergency CTVS cases.
• Pre-operative assessment and determine surgical fitness.
• Provide comprehensive post-operative care.
• Coordinate with Cardiologists and Anaesthesiologists.

QUALIFICATION

• MBBS
• MS / DNB General Surgery
• MCh / DNB CTVS

Experience

• Experienced CTVS Surgeon preferred
• Candidates with strong hands-on cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgical experience will be given preference

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct CTVS OPD consultations and evaluate surgical cases
• Diagnose and manage cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgical conditions
• Perform cardiac, thoracic and vascular procedures as per expertise
• Manage elective and emergency CTVS cases
• Conduct pre-operative assessment and determine surgical fitness
• Provide comprehensive post-operative care
• Manage surgical complications and critically ill post-operative patients
• Coordinate with Cardiologists, Anaesthesiologists, Intensivists and other specialists
• Review and correlate relevant investigations including ECG, Echocardiography, CT and other imaging
• Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, surgical options, risks and expected outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical records, operative notes and discharge summaries
• Participate in emergency/on-call duties as per hospital requirements
• Ensure adherence to OT, ICU, infection-control and patient-safety protocols
