Qualifications

• M.Ch Surgical Oncology or DrNB Surgical Oncology eligibility.
• Valid NMC / State Medical Council Registration.
• Experience preferred; capable of independently performing major oncological surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Surgical Oncology OPD consultations and manage IPD patients.
• Diagnose and surgically manage benign and malignant tumors.
• Perform major oncological procedures across breast, GI, hepatobiliary, head & neck, thoracic, gynecologic, soft tissue, and colorectal cancers.
• Evaluate cancer staging and formulate evidence-based surgical treatment plans.
• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient care; manage emergencies and complications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary oncology team for comprehensive cancer care.
• Counsel patients and families on diagnosis, options, prognosis and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Surgical Oncology OPD consultations and manage IPD patients
• Diagnose and surgically manage benign and malignant tumors
• Perform major oncological procedures including Breast, Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary, Head & Neck, Thoracic, Gynecological, Soft Tissue, and Colorectal cancer surgeries as per expertise
• Evaluate cancer staging and formulate evidence-based surgical treatment plans
• Provide comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care
• Manage oncological emergencies and complications
• Coordinate with Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Pathologists, Radiologists, ICU, and other specialists for multidisciplinary cancer care
• Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, operative notes, and discharge summaries
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, NABH standards, infection control, and patient safety guidelines
