Job summary

The role involves operating ventilators, pacemakers, defibrillators, invasive lines, and infusion pumps, administering fluids and medications, and supporting emergency procedures while coordinating with surgeons and ICU

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs, heart function, and hemodynamic parameters.
• Provide post-operative care after cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, including anesthesia recovery and pain management.
• Operate and manage ventilators, pacemakers, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and multi-parameter monitors.
• Monitor chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, and Foley catheters.
• Administer IV fluids, medications, inotropes, and blood products as ordered.
• Assist with emergency procedures such as intubation and obtain patient consent.
• Ensure patient safety, accurate documentation and proper handover to ICU staff.

Role & responsibilities

Continuously monitor and interpret patient vital signs, heart function, and hemodynamic parameters.

Provide detailed post-operative care for patients after cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, including monitoring recovery from anesthesia and managing pain.

Operate and manage complex medical equipment including ventilators, pacemakers, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and multi-parameter monitors.

Monitor and maintain various invasive lines and tubes, including chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, and Foley catheters.

Administer IV fluids, medications, inotropes, and blood products as ordered by physicians.

Assist with emergency procedures and interventions, such as intubation, and ensure patient consent for various procedures.
