Role Overview

Revat Fund is seeking an experienced crypto investment professional to help develop and implement its portfolio construction, trader evaluation, and risk management frameworks.

This role combines strategic advisory responsibilities with practical implementation. Depending on the candidate’s experience and the agreed engagement scope, the role may range from providing investment and risk oversight to taking a more hands-on role in portfolio management and capital allocation.

The successful candidate will work directly with the Founder to establish robust investment processes and translate portfolio strategy into practical operating and monitoring frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Portfolio Construction & Capital Allocation

• Develop portfolio construction methodologies across multiple traders and investment strategies.
• Establish capital allocation frameworks to support investor-direct allocation decisions.
• Recommend position sizing, exposure limits, and rebalancing criteria.
• Evaluate portfolio diversification, concentration, and overall risk-adjusted return potential.

2. Trader Evaluation & Due Diligence

• Assess trader track records, drawdowns, consistency, leverage, and risk-adjusted performance using verifiable trading data.
• Evaluate systematic and discretionary trading strategies across relevant market conditions.
• Assess strategy capacity, execution quality, liquidity, and scalability.
• Develop a structured framework for trader selection, ongoing evaluation, and performance review.

3. Risk Management & Portfolio Oversight

• Review and establish risk controls across individual traders, strategies, and the overall portfolio.
• Define exposure limits, drawdown thresholds, and escalation procedures.
• Assess strategy correlations, concentration risks, and liquidity requirements.
• Develop procedures for managing market stress, exchange disruptions, and breaches of agreed trading limits.

4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Establish performance attribution methodologies and reporting standards.
• Develop processes for ongoing trader reviews and portfolio performance monitoring.
• Ensure returns, drawdowns, leverage, and other key risk metrics are measured consistently.
• Support transparent performance reporting for internal decision-making and relevant stakeholders.

5. Investment Infrastructure & Collaboration

• Work directly with the Founder and technical team to translate investment and risk requirements into practical monitoring systems and operating processes.
• Support the development of API-based monitoring, automated risk controls, and portfolio reporting where appropriate.
• Contribute to investment due diligence and communicate the portfolio approach, performance methodology, and associated risks to relevant stakeholders.

Required Experience & Skills

• Relevant experience in crypto portfolio management, hedge funds, proprietary trading, or multi-manager investment platforms.
• Demonstrable experience managing capital, evaluating trading strategies, or providing investment oversight, supported by a verifiable track record or relevant professional experience.
• Strong understanding of crypto spot and derivatives markets, execution, leverage, liquidity, and exchange-related risks.
• Strong analytical judgment in assessing returns, drawdowns, risk-adjusted performance, and portfolio exposures.
• Ability to develop structured investment and risk management processes.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently in early-stage business environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with separately managed accounts (SMAs) and multi-trader capital allocation frameworks.
• Familiarity with API-based trading infrastructure and automated risk monitoring.
• Experience evaluating both systematic and discretionary trading strategies.
• Experience building investment processes, risk frameworks, and performance reporting systems from an early stage.

Engagement & Compensation

Revat Fund is open to different engagement models depending on the candidate’s experience, capabilities, and preferred level of involvement.

Potential engagement models include:

• Strategic Advisory: Providing guidance on portfolio construction, trader selection, and risk management.
• Consulting: Designing and implementing investment frameworks, risk controls, and reporting processes.
• Hands-On Portfolio Management: Taking an active role in portfolio oversight, trader allocation, and investment decision-making, subject to the agreed mandate.

The scope of work, time commitment, location, decision-making authority, and compensation structure will be agreed upon based on the candidate’s experience and the selected engagement model.
