Job summary

Idexcel is seeking a Senior Creo MBD/CAD Specialist in Chennai to lead 3D modeling, MBD/PMI implementation, and CAD governance. You will manage complex assemblies, templates, and annotation standards while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to drive design excellence.

The role requires 9+ years of Creo Parametric experience, strong CAD/GD&T skills, and familiarity with Windchill PLM.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in PTC Creo Parametric.
• Strong expertise in Model-Based Definition (MBD), PMI, and CAD best practices.
• Proficient in 3D modeling, 2D drawings, GD&T, and engineering documentation.
• Experience creating and maintaining Creo Mapkeys, templates, symbols, drawing formats, and annotation standards.
• Expertise in managing complex assemblies and large product structures.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, molding, casting, assembly, piping, sheet metal, plastics, and weldments.
• Experience with Windchill PLM/PDM systems preferred.
• Knowledge of Creo Toolkit, CAD automation, and customization is an advantage.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑quality Creo 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Lead MBD and PMI implementation, standards, and governance activities.
• Define and optimize CAD methodologies, templates, and engineering standards.
• Conduct CAD model reviews and ensure compliance with quality and GD&T standards.
• Support digital engineering and CAD transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to drive design excellence and productivity improvements.
