Job summary

Barclays in Pune is looking for an AVP-level expert to lead the development of front office risk analytics and pricing tools within a modern data-driven platform. You will drive cross-asset risk visualization, work with risk, finance and operations, and oversee regulatory program delivery.

You will coordinate with the Central Data Office and Risk Pub, ensuring requirements are understood and implemented with high quality, while guiding a local team and managing stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:
  • Responsible for the build out of Front Office risk analytic and trading tools.

  • Hands on development focused on building out cross-asset risk visualization platforms for risk, finance and Operation s working on the latest Big Data technologies within the Hadoop ecosystem.

  • Deliver strategic risk management system to meet various SIP commitments and regulatory programmes.

  • Liaison between RFT Risk Pub and Central Data Office for requirements, deliveries and supports.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:
  • Help accelerate the delivery of strategic RFT front to back.

  • Primary responsibility will be to work on business requests that involve gathering requirements/analysis, running pricing workflows, making configuration changes after liaising with other team members/quants and analysing / presenting results to the stakeholders for signoff.

  • Also, will have line/functional management responsibility of local (Prague) team of business analysts.

This role will be based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities.

Accountabilities
  • Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
  • Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
  • Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.
