Indus | Investing in India from Anywhere is seeking a motion designer to own short‑form video outputs across ads, reels, and social content. You will manage the full production flow from concept to delivery, including script breakdown, mood boards, storyboarding, music selection, and final export.
You will translate scripts into compelling sequences with strong pacing, VO alignment, and cohesive visual language.
Indus is the platform for investing in India’s growth. We make it simple for people living outside India to invest in Indian equity markets. We’re live in New Zealand with 15,000+ users, clear product-market fit, and are rapidly expanding into new, much larger markets. We’re backed by Zerodha through Rainmatter.
We’re a small, high-ownership team. From operations to content to performance, the company runs on AI-native workflows. We don’t hire large teams. We hire exceptional people and give them the tools to operate at scale.
We operate in every international market and give the world access to India’s growth. That comes with a responsibility ie how we show up visually is how people experience India’s growth story. We take that seriously.
India’s growth is personal to us. We’re here to play a part in it by building the infrastructure to help the world participate in it.
In fintech, when you look the part, people are inclined to have more faith in you. Our visual output is how we build credibility, drive acquisition, and communicate that this is a serious platform that can take care of your investment needs.
We also believe we have a responsibility. We’re in every international market, giving people access to India’s equity markets. The way we represent India’s growth story matters. This role is how we do that.
90% of online consumption today is short-form video. This role exists to make sure everything we put out — ads, reels, social content, motion graphics — is work that makes people stop, pay attention, and trust us. Social should never feel like wallpaper. It should feel like the most compelling thing in someone’s feed.
Technically strong. After Effects is your primary animation environment — you think in clean layer structures, logical grouping, and AE-ready asset prep. Premiere Pro for editorial cuts. You know how to mix audio properly — VO, music, SFX — and you deliver to platform loudness standards. You export in the right formats for the right contexts (H.264, ProRes, platform-specific crops). Bonus if you’ve worked in fintech or a brand with a premium, information-dense aesthetic.
Taste-driven. You have a strong point of view on what good looks like. You take pride in your work and you don’t ship things you’re not proud of. You’d rather push back on a deadline than put out something mediocre.
Always watching. You’re constantly looking at what’s working — on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, in other brands, in other categories. You bring references and ideas without being asked. You’re the person who sends the team a reel at midnight saying “we should do something like this.”
AI-native but not sloppy. You see AI as a massive force multiplier for motion and design workflows. You use it. But you also have the taste to know where AI output ends and craft begins. You care deeply about the line between leveraging AI and producing slop.
A short-form specialist. You understand the rhythm, pacing, and hooks that make short-form video work. You know why the first frame matters, how sound design changes everything, and what makes someone stop scrolling.
