Job summary

Mela in Mumbai is seeking a Creative Producer to plan, shoot and produce content for client campaigns and agency-owned projects. The role spans interviews, brand films, reels and podcasts, with travel across India and on-set leadership.

You will manage budgets, crews, locations and schedules, and you may shoot with minimal crew or even on an iPhone. Expect to lead edits to rough cut and coordinate with external production partners as needed.

Qualifications

• DOP or production background with shooting/directing capability.
• Portfolio of content you shot or directed yourself.
• Ability to make small budgets look big.
• Confident editing to at least a rough cut.
• On-set comfort with senior clients, often solo.
• Willingness to work solo with an intern supporting you.
• Bonus: scripting and interview question writing.

You’ll plan, shoot and produce content for the agency’s clients and for the agency itself. The work is mostly content production, not TVCs and DVCs.

The ideal candidate

• A DOP or production background. Either works, as long as you can shoot or direct and run a production.
• A portfolio of content you shot or directed yourself.
• Knows how to make a small budget look big.
• Edits confidently, at least to a rough cut.
• Presentable and confident with senior clients, often on set without the rest of the team.
• Comfortable working mostly solo, with an intern to support you.
• Bonus: you can write scripts and interview questions.
