Job summary

Ather Energy is seeking an Associate Creative Lead - Business Communications to scale marketing and communications across regions from IBC Knowledge Park, Bengaluru. You will lead design, copy, and content teams, driving end-to-end campaigns that align with brand values and user experience expectations.

You will collaborate with Brand, PR, and Sales, building processes for scalable creative systems while delivering premium visuals and purposeful, non-pushy messaging.

Qualifications

• Professional training in writing, communication design, or visual communication is preferred, with strong design sensibilities and communication skills.
• 8-15 years of experience leading copy, design, content, or business communications teams.

• Build and mentor internal design, copy, and content teams to support business and marketing objectives.
• Deliver quick, effective communication, design, and content solutions for briefs and problems.
• Conceptualize, own, and lead the creative vision of mid-to-large campaigns end-to-end across mediums.
• Collaborate with external agencies to deliver marketing objectives.
• Work with cross-functional teams in a matrix to support diverse business needs.
• Partner with Brand, PR, and Sales on quarterly/annual planning.
• Set up systems to scale up communication workflows.

Role: Associate Creative Lead - Business Communications

About the Team and the Role:

The Creative, Marketing team at Ather is responsible for building Ather’s creative, design, and communication prowess for scale with zero compromise on the brand values. The team carefully crafts and consolidates existing teams, scales up communication, builds external partnerships, and creates an environment for great creative work to flourish while managing business-as-usual demanding requirements.

This role is for a creative leader who can scale up marketing and business communications while staying true to the organization’s values, which include delivering a delightful user experience, clean and premium imagery, and being purposeful yet non-pushy. The role involves managing a complex and unique set of challenges, including executing breakthrough creativity across regional communications instead of a one-size-fits-all approach.

Responsibilities:

• Build and mentor internal design, copy, and content teams to support business and marketing objectives.
• Deliver quick, effective communication, design, and content solutions for business briefs and problems.
• Conceptualize, own, and lead the creative vision of mid-to-large campaigns end-to-end across various mediums.
• Collaborate and build strong relationships with external creative agencies to deliver marketing objectives.
• Work with cross-functional teams in a matrix style to support diverse business requirements.
• Partner closely with Brand, P.R., and Sales teams on quarterly and annual strategic planning.
• Set up relevant systems and processes to scale up communication workflows efficiently.
• Ensure the application of breakthrough creativity while keeping the logo small.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Professional training in writing, communication design, and/or visual communication is preferred (Educational qualifications do not matter if exceptional design sensibilities, creative thinking, and excellent communication skills are demonstrated).
• 8-15 years of experience leading copy, design, content, or business communications teams.

Must Have Competencies:

• Strategic thinking for motherbrand and product advertising anchored in business and brand context.
• Advanced capability to understand brief objectives, conceptualize ideas, align stakeholders, and drive end-to-end execution.
• High standards of craft execution and creativity in brand storytelling across copy, design, and filmmaking.
• Profound consumer understanding to translate user insights into breakthrough creative solutions.

Good to Have Competencies:

• Experience in regional campaign execution and hyper-local content building.
• Ability to navigate and execute deliverables within a matrix cross-functional organizational structure.
• Skill in building, structuring, and scaling dedicated creative sub-teams (design, copy, and content).
• Competency in establishing and optimizing operational systems and creative processes for scale.
