Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Hardware Engineer to plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems across Digital/Analog/RF/optical domains. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class products and improve power, performance and area for custom CPUs.

The role involves bringing up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, packaging, and test systems, with collaboration across worldwide CPU physical design teams and EDA vendors to resolve tool issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/ECE or related field with 6+ years Hardware Engineering experience.
• Master's degree in CS/ECE or related field with 5+ years Hardware Engineering experience.
• PhD in CS/ECE or related field with 4+ years Hardware Engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and recommend methodology improvements to optimize power, performance and area.
• Maintain, support and debug STA and timing closure (ECO) flows and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with global CPU physical design teams and provide guidance on tools/flows.
• Work with EDA vendors to define roadmaps and resolve tool issues.

As CPU STA CAD engineer, you will build and support the world’s best analysis tools and flows. Your tools and flows will ensure our custom CPUs have industry-leading power, performance and area.

Roles and Responsibilities

• 5 to 15 years of relavant experience is mandatory for this role
• Architect and recommend methodology improvements to ensure our silicon has the best power, performance and area
• Maintain, support and debug STA and timing closure (ECO) flows, and resolve project-specific issues
• Work closely with worldwide CPU physical design teams, and provide methodology guidance and tools/flows support.
• Work with EDA vendors to define roadmap and to resolve tool issues.
