Airvin Skills in Hyderabad, India seeks an experienced Medical Coder to review records, assign ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes, and ensure HIPAA-compliant coding accuracy. You will collaborate with clinicians and billing teams to resolve documentation issues and support claims processing and denial management.

Ideal candidates have 1–5 years of coding experience, CPC/CCS/CRC certification, and strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and US healthcare guidelines.

Role & responsibilities

• Review and analyze patient medical records, clinical documentation, physician notes, and diagnostic reports to identify appropriate diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign accurate and universally recognized medical codes using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems.
• Ensure coding accuracy and medical necessity while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and billing teams to resolve documentation discrepancies and coding queries.
• Support the revenue cycle management process by assisting with claims submissions, analyzing coding errors, and managing claim denials to ensure proper reimbursement.

Preferred candidate profile

• Active certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) from AAPC, or equivalent certifications like CCS or CRC.
• 1 to 5 years of hands-on medical coding experience (Inpatient, Outpatient, E/M, or Surgery coding) in hospitals, RCM firms, or healthcare BPOs.
• Strong foundational knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
• Excellent proficiency in navigating and applying ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II guidelines.
• Familiarity with the US Healthcare system (Medicare/Medicaid), high attention to detail, and the ability to meet daily productivity and quality SLA targets.
