Job summary

Darwinbox Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Credit Underwriter to evaluate digital loan applications, perform KYC and fraud screening, and ensure policy-compliant decisions. You will coordinate with sales and operations to enable paperless disbursements and monitor early performance metrics.

The role requires 1–3 years in credit appraisal/underwriting, preferably in fintech lending, and a finance-related degree. This is a full-time on-site position based in Chandigarh.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities are required.
• Knowledge of retail lending credit policies and scorecards.
• Experience with digital KYC, fraud control and MI/BI tools.
• Attention to detail and compliance orientation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications within defined turnaround times using policy rules.
• Perform digital KYC, bureau checks, income surrogates, and fraud screening with escalation as needed.
• Prepare concise notes for non-STP or exceptional cases and recommend DOA-based decisions.
• Ensure proper documentation and track post-disbursement closure where applicable.
• Coordinate with sales/operations for clarifications and smooth disbursement.
• Monitor early vintage performance and suggest filter improvements.
• Adhere to underwriting policy, regulatory requirements and QA standards.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for evaluating and underwriting loanapplications received via digital channels. Focus on quick, accuratedecisioning with policy adherence, KYC verification, fraud checks, andcoordination with stakeholders to achieve seamless, paperless disbursements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate digital loan applications within definedturnaround time (TAT) using scorecards and policy rules.
• Perform digital KYC, bureau checks, income surrogates,and fraud screening; escalte suspicious cases.
• Prepare concise credit notes/CAMs for non-STP orexception cases; recommend decisions as per DOA.
• Ensure accurate documentation and track post - disbursement document (PDD)closure where applicable.
• Coordinate with sales/operations for clarifications,rework, and smooth disbursement.
• Monitor early vintage performance/FPD for approvedcases and provide feedback to improve filters.
• Adhere to underwriting policy, regulatoryrequirements, and internal audit standards, clear QA observations & PDs ofspecific cases.
