Job summary

Darwinbox Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd. seeks a credit underwriter to evaluate digital loan applications with a sharp focus on speed and policy compliance. You will conduct KYC, bureau checks, and fraud screening, and prepare concise notes while coordinating with sales and operations to enable seamless, paperless disbursements.

The role requires 1–3 years in credit appraisal or underwriting, preferably in digital/fintech lending, with strong attention to detail and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Graduate or PG in Finance/Commerce or related field.
• 1–3 years in credit appraisal/underwriting; fintech lending preferred.
• Experience in digital/fintech lending environments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate digital loan applications within defined turnaround time using scorecards and policy rules.
• Perform digital KYC, bureau checks, income surrogates, and fraud screening; escape suspicious cases.
• Prepare concise credit notes/CAMs for non-STP or exception cases; recommend decisions as per DOA.
• Ensure accurate documentation and track post-disbursement document (PDD) closure where applicable.
• Coordinate with sales/operations for clarifications, rework, and smooth disbursement.
• Monitor early vintage performance/FPD for approved cases and provide feedback to improve filters.
• Adhere to underwriting policy, regulatory requirements, and internal audit standards, clear QA observations & PDs of specific cases.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for evaluating and underwriting loanapplications received via digital channels. Focus on quick, accuratedecisioning with policy adherence, KYC verification, fraud checks, andcoordination with stakeholders to achieve seamless, paperless disbursements.

• Perform digital KYC, bureau checks, income surrogates,and fraud screening; escape suspicious cases.
• Prepare concise credit notes/CAMs for non-STP orexception cases; recommend decisions as per DOA.
