Role Description

The Counselor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Counselor will guide students through the entire overseas education process, including understanding academic goals, suggesting suitable programs and universities, and explaining admission requirements. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, reviewing student profiles, assisting with application documentation, and tracking deadlines. The Counselor will collaborate closely with students and families to provide clear information on admission processes, scholarships, and financial planning, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth visa and pre-departure support. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of interactions, following up with prospective students, and contributing to outreach activities such as information sessions or seminars.

Qualifications

• Strong counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to assess student profiles and recommend suitable academic and career paths.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with students, families, and institutional partners.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple applications, deadlines, and follow-ups efficiently.
• Knowledge of international education systems, admission processes, and visa requirements for major study destinations.
• Comfort with basic digital tools and office software for documentation, tracking, and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, psychology, management, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Prior experience in student counseling, overseas education consulting, or academic advising is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, with a professional, student-centered, and ethical approach to guidance and support.
