Responsibilities include collaborating with teachers to implement school-wide social-emotional supports, creating IEP goals, and designing intervention plans to support student progress.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Counselling or Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Human Development.
• CTC Range to be offered: 31-55K (based on your experience and interview performance)
• Shift Timings video reference provided.

• Create goals for Individualised Education Programs (IEPs) for each student related to social emotional skills.
• Design child-specific social-emotional intervention plans in collaboration with relevant team members.
• Implement IEPs and support plans, assess student performance, and track progress.
• Update IEPs and support plans throughout the school year to reflect progress and goals.
• Proactively communicate with parents/family and respond to queries promptly.
• Meet with parents/family to discuss student progress and support social-emotional skills at home.
• Supervise and mentor shadow teachers and fulfill PD requirements.

The Green Acres Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Counsellor to join our dynamic team. We are committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our students and are looking for an individual who shares our vision.

Responsibilities

Consult and support classroom teachers with implementing school-wide social-emotional supports.

Collaborate with teachers, school wide, and assist in lesson planning that may support generalisation or acquisition of specific therapy related skills in their classrooms.

Create goals for Individualised Education Programs (IEPs) for each student related to social emotional skills.

Design child-specific social-emotional intervention plans in collaboration with relevant team members.

Implement IEPs and support plans, assess students performance, and track their progress.

Update IEPs and support plans throughout the school year to reflect students progress and goals.

Proactively communicate with parents/family, and respond to their queries promptly.

Discuss students progress with parents, teachers, counsellors, and administrators.

Meet with parents/family as and when needed to support with social emotional skills at home.

Supervise and mentor shadow teachers who work with students.

Fulfill all PD requirements, including workshops, book clubs, online courses, etc.

Attend all PLCs spaces i.e. collaborative meetings within department or school as required.

Maintain and update all the documentation related to students throughout the school year.

Plan and execute support for students with exams (reader/writer roles), picnic, sports day, annual day and other events.

Conduct in school (in person) and after school online interventions as per their role.

Collaborate with outside professionals to support student needs, as relevant.

Support with the admissions process for students who might require additional support, as relevant.

Qualifications

Mandatory Qualification

Diploma in Counselling OR Bachelor's degree in Psychology OR Human Development.

CTC Range to be offered: 31-55K (based on your experience and interview performance)
