Job summary

NIIT Foundation in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, invites applications for a counselor who will guide prospective candidates on career opportunities in the insurance sector, IC-38 certification, POSP roles, and placement prospects. The role includes screening candidates, completing registrations, and maintaining records.

You will conduct orientations, follow up to boost attendance and course completion, and coordinate with trainers and the Center Manager to minimize dropouts.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Commerce/Economics or relevant subject.
• Experience in BFSI, insurance, or vocational training will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Screen candidates against eligibility criteria and facilitate admission.
• Complete candidate registration, documentation, and maintain beneficiary records.
• Explain training schedules, assessment processes, certification requirements, and placement opportunities.
• Achieve monthly enrollment targets while maintaining quality.
• Conduct orientation sessions for enrolled candidates and guardians where required.
• Follow up with enrolled candidates to improve attendance, retention, and course completion.
• Motivate learners to complete IC-38 curriculum and appear for certification.
• Coordinate with trainers and Center Manager to address learner concerns and minimize dropouts.
• Maintain regular communication with candidates via phone, WhatsApp, SMS and other digital channels.
• Promote self-enrollment through QR codes, digital campaigns, and beneficiary referrals.
• Encourage alumni and beneficiaries to refer eligible candidates.
• Support mobilization campaigns, job fairs, awareness drives, and institutional outreach.
• Coordinate with HO, IRDAI-approved training partners, and placement teams for interviews and placements.
• Maintain MIS related to mobilization, admissions, attendance, counselling, certification, and placements.
• Collect candidate feedback and drive programme improvement.
• Ensure compliance with project guidelines, donor requirements, and policies.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Center/Project Manager.

• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS related to mobilization, admissions, attendance, counselling, certification, and placements.

• Ensure compliance with project guidelines, donor requirements, and organizational policies.
• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Center Manager or Project Manager.
