Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Cost Analysis & Reporting: Developing and maintaining standard costs, analyzing raw materials, labor, and overhead costs, and preparing monthly reports
• Variance Analysis: Investigating discrepancies between actual and budgeted production costs to identify inefficiencies.
• Inventory Control: Monitoring inventory levels, reconciling physical inventory, and managing inventory reserves.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assisting in creating annual budgets and forecasting fixed/variable expenses.
• Process Improvement: Partnering with operational teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders for smooth financial operations.
• Assist in statutory and internal audits by providing required documentation and resolving audit queries.

Preferred candidate profile

• Technical know-how in MS Office Suite, VB, Power tools / Work experience in S4 Hana is essential,
• Familiarity in cost accounting, cost audit & reporting tools is preferred and basic understanding of accounting standards and taxation rules.
• Preferably from the Printing & Packaging or manufacturing industry.
• Strong foundational knowledge in accounting principles and journal entries
• Good working knowledge of Income Tax, TDS, and GST
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Good analytical and numerical skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently on routine tasks and escape issues appropriately
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines
