Detailed Job Description

As a Costing and Design Engineer based in Silvassa via Talentpull & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., you will take full operational ownership of telecommunications cable design, technical cost evaluation, and SAP-based BOM generation. Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing robust optical fiber and copper cable networks, analyzing cable application parameters, ensuring strict compliance with ITU-T, IEC, and GR-20 standards, and conducting precise product costing. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional sales, manufacturing, and R&D teams, utilizing SAP for datasheet creation and material master maintenance. Furthermore, you will drive customer-facing technical presentations, communicate engineering specifications clearly, and champion continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate optical fiber, fiber optic cables, and copper cabling infrastructure networks for telecommunications projects.
• Conduct detailed product costing, pricing analyses, and cost-benefit evaluations for telecommunications cable products.
• Generate Bills of Materials (BOM) and technical datasheets utilizing enterprise SAP systems.
• Ensure strict adherence to international telecommunications cable standards including ITU-T, IEC, and GR-20.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional hands-on experience in telecommunications cable design, product costing, or manufacturing engineering.
• In-depth technical knowledge of cable products, optical fibers, fiber optic cables, and copper cabling systems.
• Practical proficiency in network design principles, cable application engineering, and technical specification reviews.
• Solid fundamental understanding of international cable standards such as ITU-T, IEC, and GR-20.
• Hands-on experience utilizing SAP for Bill of Materials (BOM) generation and datasheet creation.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex technical data clearly.
