Job summary

BSRI Solutions is seeking a Cost and Operations Analyst for a manufacturing business based in Chennai. You will partner with plant operations and finance teams to turn production and cost data into clear insights that support planning, performance improvement, and investment decisions.

The role requires a master’s degree or equivalent practical experience, about three years in plant controlling or manufacturing finance, and proficiency with Excel, SAP, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in finance, management control or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Plant controlling or manufacturing finance experience, ideally around three years.
• Proficiency with Excel, SAP, BPC or Analysis for Office, and Power BI; familiarity with AI tools is an advantage.
• Accuracy, sound analytical judgment and the ability to explain findings clearly to varied stakeholders.
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines independently; English proficiency is expected, and additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts, including standard costs and production overhead assumptions.
• Review monthly plant financial and operational results; explain variances, cost drivers and risks, and recommend actions.
• Maintain performance dashboards, support management reviews and improve reporting processes and tools.
• Support inventory valuation and cash flow analysis, and manage the financial assessment of capital projects.
• Quantify the impact of cost improvement initiatives and align cost calculations with finance and operations teams.
• Partner with production, maintenance, supply chain and finance colleagues while following safety, quality and internal control requirements.
