Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, procurement, quantity surveying, commerce, or related discipline.
  • MBA or postgraduate qualification in procurement, supply chain, finance, or operations will be an added advantage.
  • 8-10 years of experience in procurement and cost management in construction, data centers, real estate, infrastructure, EPC, PMC or interior fit-out.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement for materials, equipment, and subcontractor packages.
  • Develop procurement plans aligned with project timelines and budgets.
  • Lead commercial negotiations to achieve favorable pricing and contractual terms.
  • Monitor procurement spend and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Cost Manager - Procurement to drive procurement strategy, cost optimization, vendor management, and commercial controls across projects. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring timely procurement of materials and services while maintaining budget adherence, quality standards, and contractual compliance.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in procurement planning, commercial negotiations, cost management, contract administration, and stakeholder management within the Construction, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Data Center, EPC, PMC, or Interior Fit-out sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Management

  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities for materials, equipment, and subcontractor packages.
  • Develop procurement plans aligned with project timelines and budgets.
  • Prepare RFQs/RFPs and conduct tendering processes.
  • Evaluate technical and commercial bids and recommend vendor selections.
  • Ensure timely procurement to avoid project delays.

Cost Management & Commercial Control

  • Prepare procurement budgets and cost estimates.
  • Monitor procurement spend against project budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends and benchmark pricing for key procurement categories.
  • Prepare comparative statements and procurement cost reports.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Lead commercial negotiations to achieve favorable pricing and contractual terms.
  • Manage vendor performance and compliance.
  • Review, negotiate, and administer procurement contracts and purchase orders.
  • Resolve contractual and commercial issues with suppliers.

Project & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineering, Finance, and Commercial teams to understand procurement requirements.
  • Participate in project planning and procurement review meetings.
  • Provide regular procurement status updates to internal stakeholders.

Risk, Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Mitigate procurement and supply chain risks.
  • Monitor supplier compliance with quality, safety, and contractual obligations.
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining procurement documentation.

Experience

  • Proven experience handling high-value procurement contracts and negotiations.
