We are hiring this role on behalf of our client, a leading international project and cost management consultancy, for a greenfield industrial project in Gujarat.

About the Role

As Cost Manager - MEP, you will own the cost management of MEP packages on a large greenfield industrial project, working on the consultancy side alongside the client and the wider consultant team. The role covers the full cycle: feasibility and estimating through tendering and procurement, and on into post-contract billing, valuation and final accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimating and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan
• Completing feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
• Tendering and procurement activity - managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list and preliminaries, tender analysis and tender report, and compiling contractual documents
• Post-contract management and billing, with responsibility for timely and accurate cost checks and valuations
• Producing monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client
• Managing post-contract cost variances and the change control process
• Performing cost risk analysis and providing input into value engineering
• Negotiating and approving final accounts
• Interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages
• Maintaining central feedback and learning on cost estimating, and contributing to best practice

What We Are Looking For

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (essential)
• 7-10 years of experience in MEP cost management, quantity surveying or cost control
• Hands-on experience across both pre-contract (estimating, tendering) and post-contract (billing, variations, final accounts) stages
• Experience on industrial, greenfield or large-scale construction projects; PMC or consultancy-side experience will be an advantage
• Strong command of MS Excel; working knowledge of cost management and estimation tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and contract documents
• Confident client-facing communication and negotiation skills
• Willing to work on-site at Sanand, Gujarat (the role may also involve Dholera)
• Location: Sanand, Gujarat (also covering Dholera)
• Compensation: up to ₹12 LPA, based on experience and current CTC
