Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Assistant Cost Manager to join our Ahmedabad cost management team. You will handle pre and post-contract cost activities for Civil systems, support tender analysis and cost reporting, and work within a consultancy framework to deliver value to clients.

Ideal candidates will have civil engineering qualifications and 5–7 years of post-qualification experience in a construction consultancy in India, with strong BOQ and rate analysis skills and a proactive,

Turner & Townsend are looking for Assistant Cost Managers to join our award winning, growing Cost Management team for Ahmedabad.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate consultancy experience.

Role within the project: Thejob role is intended to deliver pre and post contract cost management deliverables of Civil Systems.

Main job purpose: Thecandidate should have sound technical knowledge of all Civil systems and primarily he is proficient to compare BOQ items, pick rates of similar items and rate analysis.

Also he should have good post contract site experience and he must be competent to make necessary assumptions during quantity take-off, list out missing details in the drawings, BOQ and specification, raising request for information based on the given tender details and proficient to understand technical specification and design brief.

Should have basic knowledge on cost plan stages, procurement routes, contracts, change management and Risk management.

Responsibilities:

• Pre and post-contract duties including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variation, final account, etc, responsibleor quantity take-off of various Civilsystems & Quantity validation
• Responsible for bill verification and payment certifications
• Completing feasibility studies and writing procurement reports.
• Assist Cost Managers in pre tender estimates,procurement and comparison statement preparation & cost reporting
• Responsible for bill verifications and payment certifications
• Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
• Tendering and procurement activity, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, preliminaries, tender analysis, tender report and compiling the contractual documents

Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch – Civil
• Post Graduate Qualification in relevant field would be an added advantage.
• should have relevant experience of working for a construction consultancy in India, be degree educated in a relevant construction subject and have good technical skills.
• 5-7 years of post qualification experience in similar role
