The role requires close collaboration with project teams and finance to ensure cost discipline across projects. The ideal candidate will drive cost control processes, assess financial risks, and implement continuous improvements to optimize project profitability and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Budget Management: Develop and maintain project budgets in coordination with project managers and stakeholders. Monitor budgetary allocations and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
• Cost Analysis: Analyze project expenses, track costs incurred, and compare against budgeted figures. Identify cost variances and investigate discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy.
• Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, forecasts, and cost trend analyses. Provide timely and accurate updates to project teams and management regarding cost performance.
• Risk Assessment: Identify potential cost overruns or financial risks. Collaborate with project teams to mitigate risks and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Vendor and Contract Management: Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms. Monitor vendor invoices and payments to verify accuracy and alignment with project budgets.
• Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve cost control procedures and methodologies. Implement best practices to optimize cost management processes.
• Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, project managers, and finance departments to ensure alignment on cost control strategies and objectives.
