Job summary

Vishay Precision Group, Inc. (VPG) in India seeks a Cost Analyst to join our Finance team at our manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu. This full-time position emphasizes accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for our product lines, including cost, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.

The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years in cost accounting in manufacturing, strong Excel skills, and experience with QAD ERP and Hyperion TM1. ICWA-qualified by experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Excel; cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with QAD ERP and Hyperion TM1 is advantageous.
• ICWA qualification by experience preferred.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting accuracy for product lines.
• Reconcile and analyze sales, costs and inventory.
• Prepare and maintain product cost data (materials, labor, overhead).
• Report on inventory valuation, changeovers and engineering notes.
• Provide variance analysis with comments.
• Support Product Line Manager with ad hoc reports.
• Maintain direct labor and overhead rates; analyze standard vs actual.
• Assist SOX and IGAAP audit support.

We are seeking a highly motivated Cost Analyst to join our Finance team on a full-time basis:

Major Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the overall accuracy and timelines of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting related to our product line at our manufacturing facility in the India. This will include reconciliation and analysis of Sales, costs & Inventory.
• Prepare and maintain product cost data like material / labor / Subcontract / variable & fixed overhead.
• Report on quantities, valuation, sales and usage of inventory, Product Changeover / Engineering change note.
• Report on financial performance and manufacturing statistics
• Provide analysis of variances with written comments
• Support the Product Line Manager in analyzing the product line performance and ad hoc reports and projects.
• Maintain and calculate direct labor and overhead rates and perform quarterly analysis of standard vs actual.
• SOX audit documentation and IGAAP audit supporting to Manager.
