Job summary

Randstad Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Cost Analyst to join the Business Planning & Control function. The role will drive cost control, budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and financial analysis while partnering with business stakeholders to manage costs effectively.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cost analysis or FP&A, with OPEX and CAPEX experience, strong MS Excel skills, and Indian accounting exposure. MBA Finance, CA, or M.Com are preferred. Bengaluru location.

Responsibilities

• Drive cost control and ensure costs stay within approved budgets.
• Perform Actual vs. Budget analysis and provide insights to stakeholders.
• Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgeting, tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and manage OPEX rolling forecasts.
• Identify opportunities for cost saving and cost optimization and support implementation.
• Perform cost allocation across Lines of Business (LOBs).
• Support P&L preparation and analysis.
• Handle cost center and GL related activities and ensure accurate cost booking.
• Manage provisioning, including incentive provisioning.
• Track costs related to special projects and provide regular financial updates.
• Work with Finance, Accounts Payable, budget owners and other stakeholders for accurate reporting.
• Consolidate, validate, and analyze financial data for insights.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cost Analyst to join the Business Planning & Control function. The role will be responsible for cost control, budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, financial analysis, and partnering with business stakeholders to ensure effective cost management.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in OPEX and CAPEX management, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, P&L, and financial reporting, along with excellent Excel and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive cost control and work closely with budget owners to ensure costs remain within approved budgets.
• Perform Actual vs. Budget analysis and provide insights to business stakeholders.
• Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgeting, tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and manage OPEX rolling forecasts.
• Identify opportunities for cost saving and cost optimization and support implementation.
• Perform cost allocation/apportionment across different Lines of Business (LOBs).
• Support P&L preparation and analysis.
• Handle cost center and General Ledger (GL) related activities and ensure accurate cost booking.

• Work closely with Finance, Accounts Payable, budget owners, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Consolidate, validate, and analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.

Mandatory Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Cost Analysis, FP&A, Business Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, or Management Accounting.
• Candidates must have experience working with service-based companies.
• Indian accounting experience is mandatory.
• OPEX and CAPEX experience is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cost control, and cost optimization.
• Strong knowledge of P&L, Cost Centers, GL, provisioning, and cost allocation.
• Strong MS Excel skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
• Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Candidates with MBA Finance, CA, or M.Com qualifications will be considered.
• Bengaluru location only.

Preferred Background

Candidates from service-based organizations with hands‑on experience in financial planning, cost management, OPEX/CAPEX, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering will be preferred.
