Reliabilityseals is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to manage cost expenditures and purchases, supporting profitability through cost evaluation and budgeting activities.

The role requires collaboration with finance, production, and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost tracking, inventory management, and informed decision-making through detailed financial analysis.

Qualifications

• CMA preferred with cost accounting knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles.
• Experience with cost analysis and BOMs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs versus actual costs.
• Prepare detailed cost sheets, Bills of Materials (BOM), and pricing analysis reports.
• Monitor inventory valuation and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
• Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve cost efficiency.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Conduct cost audits and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Maintain accurate records of cost data and financial reports.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to manage and analyze cost expenditures and purchases within the organization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in improving profitability by evaluating costs, supporting budgeting activities, and identifying cost-saving opportunities across business operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with finance, production, and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost tracking, effective inventory management, and informed decision-making through detailed financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs versus actual costs.
• Prepare detailed cost sheets, Bills of Materials (BOM), and pricing analysis reports.
• Monitor inventory valuation and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
• Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve cost efficiency.

Budgeting & Financial Control

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Conduct cost audits and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Maintain accurate records of cost data and financial reports.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with production and procurement teams to control and optimize costs.
• Collaborate with various departments to improve cost management practices.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations for operational improvements.
• Support management with accurate cost information for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualification

• CMA (Cost & Management Accountant) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.

Skills Required

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as SAP, Tally, and ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle large datasets and prepare detailed reports.

Preferred Experience

Experience

• 0 – 2 years of experience (or as per organizational requirements) in Cost Accounting and/or Manufacturing Industry.
