Job summary

Michelin is seeking an experienced Costing & Controlling professional in Pune, India to manage standard and actual costing, analyze manufacturing costs, and support inventory valuation. The role collaborates with Finance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to drive profitability and cost control.

The ideal candidate will have CMA/CA qualifications with 4–6 years of relevant experience and a strong foundation in costing practices and internal controls. This position is based on site in Pune.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost accounting, product costing, manufacturing cost analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Candidates should have 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard costing, actual costing, and product cost calculations.
• Analyse manufacturing costs and identify cost drivers impacting profitability.
• Monitor and report material, labour, overhead, and production variances.
• Support monthly costing runs and inventory valuation processes.
• Ensure accurate cost allocation and absorption methodologies.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities related to costing and inventory.
• Prepare cost reports, manufacturing KPI dashboards, and management analysis.
• Perform annual standard cost updates and update standard costs for PIDs as required.
• Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable procedures.
• Support internal and external audits related to costing and inventory processes.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, accounting, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
