Job description

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders to support smooth business operations.
  • Monitor and ensure company compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, statutory requirements, and internal corporate policies.
  • Handle corporate communications, public relations activities, and official correspondence with external agencies and authorities.
  • Represent the company in meetings, discussions, and follow-ups with government departments, consultants, legal authorities, and other external stakeholders.
  • Track changes in government policies, regulatory frameworks, and statutory requirements and assess their impact on business operations.
  • Manage and coordinate matters related to licenses, registrations, approvals, renewals, permissions, and statutory documentation.
  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, Finance, Administration, and senior management teams for timely closure of corporate and compliance-related matters.
  • Prepare and maintain reports, status updates, briefing notes, presentations, and official correspondence for management and external authorities.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of records, files, approvals, acknowledgements, and compliance trackers related to corporate affairs and statutory matters.
  • Maintain professional relationships with various government departments and statutory authorities.
  • Coordinate with Labour Department, Factory Inspectorate, GIDC/AMC, Revenue Department, Pollution Control Board, Registrar/ROC, and other local authorities.
  • Follow up for approvals, permissions, renewals, registrations, NOCs, and statutory submissions.
  • Ensure timely submission of required documents and regular follow-up on pending matters.
  • Attend government offices, inspections, hearings, and meetings as required.
Corporate Documentation & Compliance Support
  • Prepare, review, and maintain corporate documents, applications, and official records.
  • Draft and coordinate official letters, applications, declarations, undertakings, notice replies, authority letters, and departmental correspondence.
  • Maintain records of approvals, licenses, acknowledgements, and statutory submissions.
  • Track pending matters and ensure timely closure.
Legal & Land Matter Coordination
  • Coordinate matters related to land documentation, property records, title papers, mortgage documentation, registration work, revenue records, and lease/agreement documentation.
  • Liaise with legal consultants, advocates, and relevant authorities for land and property-related matters.
  • Support the preparation, execution, and registration of legal documents.
  • Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for mortgage-related documentation, loan documentation, property papers, charge creation/modification support, and compliance-related submissions.
  • Assist in the collection and submission of documents required for banking processes.
  • Coordinate internally with Finance, Legal, and Management teams for approvals and documentation.
Public Relations & Government Coordination
  • Maintain effective coordination with Labour Department, Pollution Control Board, Electricity Department, Revenue Department, GIDC/Industrial Development Authorities, Police and Local Administration, Municipal Corporation/Gram Panchayat, ESI, PF, and other statutory departments.
Experience Required
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in Government Liaison, Public Relations, Corporate Affairs, or Industrial Relations/External Affairs.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or corporate environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, government procedures, land-related matters, and corporate documentation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
