Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Government of Chhattisgarh departments, Central Government Ministries, CSIDC, District Administration, and Local Government Departments.
  • Represent the organization before government authorities for statutory approvals, licenses, registrations, and renewals.
  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities for licenses, registrations, approvals, and renewals required for plant operations.
  • Build strong relationships with key government officials and industry bodies to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Coordinate with government departments for statutory approvals and regulatory clearances; monitor compliance with Central and State regulations.
  • Track changes in government policies and communicate their impact to management.
  • Coordinate with CSIDC, DIC, and other agencies for project approvals and expansions.
  • Support greenfield and brownfield expansion projects by facilitating approvals.
  • Coordinate with land, infrastructure, utilities, and project implementation departments.
  • Liaise with power, water, environment, pollution control, and industrial infra departments.
  • Maintain relationships with government bodies and industry associations; coordinate meetings and stakeholder engagements.
  • Draft official correspondence, government representations, proposals, and compliance documents; respond to notices and regulatory communications.
  • Support senior management during meetings with government officials and external agencies.
  • Monitor industrial policies, subsidy schemes, and incentive programs; facilitate approvals under relevant schemes.
  • Maintain records of licenses, statutory approvals, and regulatory documentation; prepare monthly MIS reports.
  • Track action points and ensure timely closure of government-related activities; maintain a government contacts database.
  • Coordinate with Legal, HR, Admin, Projects, Finance, Plant Operations, and EHS teams; guide internal departments on regulatory requirements.

Role Summary

The Corporate Affairs will be responsible for managing the organization's Government Relations, Corporate Liaison, Regulatory Approvals, Statutory Compliance, and Stakeholder Management with various Government of Chhattisgarh, Central Government Ministries, CSIDC, District Administration, and Local Government Authorities. The incumbent will play a key role in obtaining statutory approvals, coordinating with government departments, supporting expansion projects, and ensuring smooth communication between the organization and government bodies.

The role requires extensive experience in handling government relations, industrial approvals, policy implementation, land and infrastructure coordination, and regulatory matters for manufacturing industries.

Key Responsibilities
Government Liaison & Corporate Affairs
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Government of Chhattisgarh departments, Central Government Ministries, CSIDC (Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation), District Administration, and Local Government Departments.
  • Represent the organization before various government authorities for statutory approvals, industrial permissions, and business-related matters.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities for obtaining licenses, registrations, approvals, and renewals required for plant operations.
  • Build strong relationships with key government officials and industry bodies to facilitate smooth business operations.
Regulatory Approvals & Compliance
  • Coordinate with various Government Departments for statutory approvals and regulatory clearances.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable Central and State Government regulations affecting manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure timely renewal of licenses, registrations, and statutory permissions.
  • Track changes in government policies, industrial regulations, and incentive schemes and communicate their impact to management.
Industrial Development & Project Coordination
  • Coordinate with CSIDC, District Industries Centre (DIC), and other industrial promotion agencies for project approvals and expansion initiatives.
  • Support greenfield and brownfield expansion projects by facilitating government approvals.
  • Coordinate with government departments regarding industrial land, infrastructure development, utilities, and project implementation.
  • Liaise with departments responsible for power, water, environment, pollution control, and industrial infrastructure.
Stakeholder & External Relations
  • Maintain effective relationships with:

Corporate Communication
  • Draft official correspondence, government representations, proposals, applications, and compliance documents.
  • Coordinate responses to government notices and regulatory communications.
  • Support senior management during meetings with government officials and external agencies.
  • Ensure professional communication and documentation standards.
Strategic Government Relations
  • Identify opportunities under Central and State Government industrial policies, subsidy schemes, and incentive programs.
  • Facilitate approvals under various industrial development and investment promotion schemes.
  • Support the leadership team in policy advocacy and government engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor new legislation, notifications, and policy changes affecting business operations.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain complete records of licenses, statutory approvals, government correspondence, and regulatory documentation.
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports on liaison activities, approvals, and pending regulatory matters.
  • Track action points and ensure timely closure of government-related activities.
  • Maintain a database of government contacts and regulatory compliance calendars.
Team & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Coordinate with Legal, HR, Administration, Projects, Finance, Plant Operations, and EHS teams.
  • Guide internal departments on regulatory requirements and government procedures.
  • Support audits, inspections, and government visits.
  • Ensure timely resolution of government-related operational issues.
