Job summary

Haleon is seeking a Data Steward to support maintenance, quality, and governance of master and operational data across the organisation. You will work under Senior Data Stewards and Data Owners to ensure data is accurate, complete, and fit for use in reporting and regulatory compliance.

This role offers an opportunity to build knowledge of end-to-end data flows in a multinational environment, acting as a bridge between business users and governance teams to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, Data, or related field.
• Some experience in a data-focused analytics or operations role.
• Experience with master data, reporting, or operational systems is an advantage.
• Interest in the CPG/FMCG industry and the functions of Finance, Procurement, HR.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day data validation and quality checks across data domains.
• Support review and correction of master data attributes and mappings.
• Log defects and support remediation under supervision.
• Collaborate with data owners and process owners to understand requirements.
• Assist with data governance forums and documentation.

Role Purpose

TheData Stewardsupports the maintenance, quality, and governance of master and operational data across theorganisation. Working under the guidance of Senior Data Stewards and Data Owners, this role focuses onday-to-day data validation, issue identification, and remediation support, helping ensure data isaccurate, complete, and fit for use.

The roleprovidesan excellent opportunity tobuild strong business and data foundations, develop knowledge of end-to-end data flows, and gain exposure to enterprise data management practices within a complex, multinational environment. The Data Steward acts as an operational bridge between business users and data governance teams, contributing to reliable reporting, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

Data Quality & Stewardship Support

• Perform routinedata quality checkson assigned data domains tovalidateaccuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Support the review, validation, and correction ofmaster data attributes, hierarchies, and mappings, primarily across Corporate Function data such as Finance, Tax, Procurement, HR.
• Raise data quality issues clearly and promptly, logging defects and supporting remediation activities under supervision.
• Assistwith monitoring data quality metrics and dashboards, escalatingrecurringor critical issues whereappropriate.

Collaboration & Business Engagement

• Work closely with Senior Data Stewards, Data Owners, Business Process Owners, and Product Owners to understand data requirements and business rules.
• Support data-related queries from markets and operating units, ensuring responses aretimelyand traceable.
• Participate in data forums, working groups, or governance sessions, contributing insights and learning from experienced stakeholders.

Data Standards & Documentation

• Assistin documentingdata definitions, standards, business rules, and proceduresas defined by Data Owners and governance teams.
• Helpmaintaindata guidelines and playbooks to enable consistent andaccuratedata maintenance by business users.
• Support change adoption by ensuring data requirements are understood during new capability rollouts or enhancements.

Tools, Systems & Learning

• Use enterprise data management tools (e.g.,Informatica IDMC) to perform data reviews and basic analysis.
• Develop knowledge of end-to-end data flows supporting capabilities such as Finance accounting, planning, procurement and HR People data.

Qualifications & Skills

Required Skills

• Strong attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach to data.
• Basic analytical skills, with the ability to investigate issues and support root-cause analysis.
• Good communicationskills, with the ability to explain data issues clearly to both technical and business users.
• Willingness and curiosity to learn business processes, data domains, and enterprise systems.
• Ability to work effectively as part of across-functional and often remote team.

Technical Skills

• Good working knowledge of Informatica IDMC for Data Quality & Governance
• Good working knowledge ofExcelfor data analysis (e.g.lookups, pivot tables).
• Exposure to, or strong interest in, data tools and platforms such asSAP, data quality tools, or BI/reporting solutions.
• Awareness of SQL and Power BI isadvantageousbut not essential.

Experience Required

• Undergraduate degree inBusiness, Engineering, Data, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Some experience in adata-focused, analytics, operations, or business support roleis preferred.
• Exposure tomaster data, reporting, or operational systemsis an advantage.
• Interest in theCPG/FMCG industryand the functions of Finance, Procurement, HR
