Cloudxtreme is seeking an experienced Web Application Developer for a critical financial services project. You will expand and optimize an existing web app, focusing on performance, maintainability, and modern development practices.

Primary work includes adding features in core-PHP, migrating to Laravel, and integrating with REST APIs. You will also write AzureSQL queries and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Web Application Developer to join our team on a critical project for a client in the financial services industry. This role focuses on expanding and optimizing an existing web application, ensuring robust performance, maintainability, and the adoption of modern development practices.

• Add new features and functionality to the existing web application written in core-PHP.
• Enhance the performance, responsiveness, and reliability of the application.
• Elevate code quality and readability by migrating from core-PHP to a modern framework such as Laravel.
• Integrate the application with external systems and services through REST APIs.
• Write and/or update queries in AzureSQL databases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams for solution delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Core-PHP web application development experience.
• Proficiency in connecting to other applications via REST API.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Ability to write and update AzureSQL queries.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap (or similar lightweight front-end frameworks).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience migrating legacy core-PHP codebases to frameworks like Laravel.
• Good understanding of application architecture and design principles.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab source control management (SCM).
• Familiarity with application deployment using GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
