About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Copy Editor to review, edit, and proofread a wide range of content, including articles, books, marketing collateral, and product copy. The ideal candidate will ensure grammatical accuracy, consistency, readability, factual correctness, and adherence to established editorial guidelines and brand voice.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Editing & Proofreading:

• Ensure content is polished, accurate, and publication-ready.
• Perform line editing, copyediting, and proofreading of articles, books, marketing materials, and product content.
• Correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and stylistic inconsistencies.

2. Style Guide Compliance:

• Maintain consistency in terminology, formatting, tone, and language usage across all content.
• Follow internal and external editorial style guides, including AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, and company-specific guidelines.

3. Fact-Checking & Quality Control:

• Identify inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and potential content quality issues.
• Verify factual information, dates, statistics, hyperlinks, names, references, and sources before publication.

4. Clarity & Readability:

• Ensure content is easy to understand and appropriate for the target audience.
• Improve content clarity, flow, structure, and conciseness while preserving the author's original voice and intent.

5. Collaborative Editing:

• Provide clear, constructive, and actionable editorial feedback.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, deadlines, and strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with writers, editors, and content creators to improve content quality.
