Role Summary
The Copilot Architect is responsible for defining, governing, and overseeing the end-to-end architecture for Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio engagements. The role ensures secure, scalable, and enterprise-ready Copilot deployments while providing architectural leadership across adoption, agent development, governance, and value realization initiatives.
Architecture & Solution Design
- Define end-to-end solution architecture for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, SharePoint, and enterprise knowledge sources
- Lead Copilot readiness assessments and gap analysis, including platform dependencies and technical feasibility
- Translate business use cases into scalable Copilot and AI agent architectures
- Define rollout and sustainment architecture aligned to enterprise adoption programs
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Establish and maintain Copilot Studio governance frameworks, standards, and best practices
- Ensure alignment with enterprise security, data protection, and AI guardrails
- Lead architecture and CAB reviews for Copilot assets and agents
- Review and enable new Copilot capabilities released by Microsoft from an architectural standpoint
Adoption & Value Enablement
- Provide architectural inputs to Copilot vision, value, and enablement workshops
- Guide setup of Copilot adoption portals, scenario libraries, and engagement platforms
- Oversee usage, adoption, and value realization dashboards leveraging Microsoft Admin and reporting tools
Delivery & Stakeholder Leadership
- Act as the architectural escalation point for delivery teams
- Collaborate with change management, adoption, and development teams
- Participate in program governance forums, steering committees, and delivery reviews
- Support transition from rollout to sustainment operating models
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio architecture
- Experience with Power Platform, SharePoint, connectors, APIs, and enterprise integrations
- Proven experience defining AI governance, security controls, and compliance frameworks
- Ability to align business outcomes with technical architecture
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale Copilot or AI platform programs
