Job summary

ACG is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee Post Production activities across ATS, Printing, Camera and Packing in Shirwal. You will manage shift Manning, execution planning, and drive on-time despatch with high quality while ensuring cGMP/GDP compliance.

Responsibilities include preparing shift reports, coordinating with interfacing functions, handling colour changes, and ensuring availability of materials and tools.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating shift activities in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of cGMP and GDP requirements.
• Ability to plan, monitor line output and drive discipline across teams.
• Experience training operators and multi-skilling staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shift activities for Post Production (ATS, Printing, Camera, Packing).
• Prepare shift machine performance reports for decision making.
• Implement quality corrections to minimize defects and achieve on-time despatch.
• Ensure material, condition and line clearance ready for colour change and production runs.
• Monitor ATS, Printing, Camera processes and SAP entries for accuracy.
• Oversee staff safety, GMP compliance, and audit readiness.
• Lead training and development of operators; support Lean/Kaizen programs.

• Job Objective
• Coordination of activities within a shift atPost Production(ATS, Printing, Camera, Packing) to achieve AFOE@Despatch on shift basis with desired Quality
• Shift lead will be responsible for managing all thebelowshift activities for the entire Hall/all machines.
• Primary responsibilities

Strategic and planning

Functional

Shift Lead (all m/cs in one shift)-

• Monitoring and verifying all shift activities (Manning, Executionof Post Production Planning ) for the allocated lines
• Prepare shift machine performance report for the allocated lines to support HOD/Inchargefor decision making
• Implement Quality corrections (InkViscosity, Camerachallengetest, NOU test etc) to minimize Printing defects & achieve the target AFOE@Despatch
• Ensures that all requirements (Material,Condition) arein place for Colour Change
• Monitor ATS Operation with Production and Quality
• Check line clearance of ATS, Printing, Camera, FCS, Checkweigher machines as per SOP
• Monitors Print and Camera Process parameters to ensure desired quality is achieved
• 100% SAP entries of Dips & Counting and printing confirmation and downtime for that shift is to get right information from SAP.
• Supervise thecolorchange with required cGMP and GDP requirements
• Co- ordination with interfacing functions in case of colour change, Machine downtime to run Line efficiently with no backlog/WIP
• Monitor and provide feedback to production line WIP for batch cut off.
• Ensure all the necessary Material for the shift is available for Printing (Shift Plan, CC plan,MR,RR,Spare availability ,ink ,clothes, IPA ,Packing material (Types of box, metalized bags , fractionated material, required necessary material as per requirement) to ensure Line runs efficiently
• Communicate Online rejection analysis (Attributedefects toProduction and Printing defects to Line operator) to maintain consistent quality
• Wherever required execute Camera teaching andchallenge testin presence of QC
• Ensure proper SOP is followed, with cGMP and Regulatoryguidelines for regular and Audit compliance
• CAPA or complaints is to be communicated to associates in meetings to prevent it for next supply
• Implementation of continuous improvement actions which are reviewed by Section head for future smooth operations
• Optimize consumption of consumable and non-consumable to reduce losses
• Training of operators for multi-skilling for people development.
• People Development – Contract training/down the line as required. Interview process for down the line jointly with the Team lead
• Highlighting of internal stranger complaints in regular meetings to ensure no future failure occurs
• Review of shift documents.
• Plan and give training to the operators on GDP.
• Ensure associate are attending training on GMP % DI policy.
• Ensure adherence to safety guidelines/ Environment Management System - ISO14001-2015 / Occupational Health and Safety - ISO45001-2018, c-GMP, regulatory & statutory compliances, TPM and other applicable norms.
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies.
• Support quality inspections, audits, and process improvements.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, and employee performance.
• Support Lean, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, or other improvement programs.
• Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities.
• Ensure accurate documentation of incidents, production, and quality data.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements within the assigned area of responsibility.

Internal process

• Preparation of various reports.
• Monitor and review Multiskilling initiatives in order support Departmental goals.
• Ensure proper manning and shift handling, shift activities.
• Effective training to the operators with evaluation for compliance.
• Effective manning to utilization of available sources.

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
