Job summary

Varun Beverages Limited in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, seeks a skilled instrumentation and controls engineer to plan and execute instrumentation and control systems for plant equipment and processes.

You will support installation, testing and commissioning of field instruments, PLC, DCS and SCADA systems; develop I/O lists and loop diagrams; coordinate with EPC contractors and suppliers; perform calibration and functional testing; troubleshoot and integrate plant equipment with automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute instrumentation and control systems for plant equipment and processes.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning of field instruments, control panels, PLC, DCS and SCADA systems.
• Develop/review I/O lists, instrument datasheets, control philosophies, instrument index and loop diagrams.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, automation vendors and equipment suppliers.
• Perform instrument calibration, loop checking and functional testing.
• Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, control systems and instrumentation-related issues.
• Coordinate integration of plant equipment with PLC/SCADA and other automation systems.
• Monitor and support process parameters, alarms, interlocks and control loops.
• Review automation and instrumentation drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning and plant handover.
• Maintain instrumentation documentation, commissioning records and project reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and engineering standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams for reliable functioning of instrumentation and control systems.
