Job summary

Rotork in Chennai is seeking a detail-oriented Order Entry & Customer Service professional to ensure accurate PO validation against quotations and specifications. The role involves coordinating with Inside Sales, Engineering, and regional teams to ensure timely order execution, MIS reporting, and clear communication with customers.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong customer service, basic knowledge of actuators, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical) and readiness to work in a customer-facing role.
• Good understanding of basic mechanical/electrical concepts relevant to valves and actuators.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to learn business software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Compare PO with quotation and specs, coordinate with Inside Sales and Engineering to resolve discrepancies.
• Review and implement specifications to align with PO scope.
• Schedule project kickoff meetings for large/complex orders.
• Coordinate with regional sales & Service for order executions.
• Generate MIS reports and circulate them.
• Clarify deviations or exceptions to customer specs.
• Enter orders into MTMS accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service, including acknowledgements and updates on delays.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITES

• Compare customer Purchase Order (PO) to quotation and project specifications to confirm accuracy and collaborating with Inside Sales and Engineering to resolve any PO discrepancies.
• Review, understand, and implement commercial and technical specifications to fully implement and adhere to the scope of PO.
• Schedule and chair project kickoff meetings with other Rotork personnel for large and/or complex orders as needed.
• Co-ordinate with regional sales & Service team for order executions.
• Generates MIS reports and circulate.
• Clarify any deviations, assumptions, or exceptions to customer specifications
• Order entry into MTMS with attention to detail and accuracy
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, including order acknowledgements, promise dates, as well as any order updates or delays
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Basic knowledge of pneumatic and electric actuators, valves, mechanical systems
• Must demonstrate a high level of Customer Service.
