Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) seeks an experienced Contracts Specialist to oversee international project terms, review and negotiate contractual provisions, and manage contract administration from award to closeout.

You will coordinate with legal, project management, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, handle claims and variations, and support commercial decisions across the project lifecycle.

Job description

• Review, interpret, and negotiate contractual terms and conditions for international projects.
• Manage contract administration throughout the project lifecycle, from award to closeout.
• help on questions related to contractor compliance with contractual obligations.
• Review claims, payment applications, variations, and extension-of-time requests.
• Analyse contractor quotations and extra-work proposals and provide recommendations to project leadership.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
• Handle claims, variations, change orders, extensions of time (EOT), and dispute resolution processes.
• Provide guidance on legal and commercial implications of contract clauses.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and client requirements.
• Support project teams in resolving contractual and commercial issues.
• Coordinate with legal, project management, engineering, procurement, and finance teams.
• Maintain contract documentation, correspondence, and records.
• Monitor contract performance and highlight risks, opportunities, and deviations.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Contract Management, Construction Law, Commercial Management, or related fields will be an added advantage.
