Job summary

ABB in Bengaluru/Nelamangala is seeking a Quality Specialist / Test Engineering Supervisor to strengthen the Quality team. You will support production processes to optimize cost, quality, and on-time delivery, reporting to the Manufacturing Quality Manager.

The role emphasizes safety, quality management, and collaborative problem-solving with R&D, manufacturing, and service teams to achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications

• BE /B. Tech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field with 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience with effective leadership and team coordination skills.
• Practical experience in electrical/mechanical testing, troubleshooting, and electronic assembly.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, and familiarity with IEEE, UL, IEC/EN 62040-3 standards, and SAP systems.
• Skilled in calibration, test equipment handling, and analysis of parameters like wire continuity, HiPot, CT ratios, and power quality.
• Proficient in laboratory testing designing setups, conducting environmental/mechanical/electrical tests, recording data, and preparing detailed reports.
• Experienced in development testing, including design of special test setups, documentation of procedures, and identification of abnormalities during testing.

Responsibilities

This role is contributing to the Smart power Business and the role reports to Manufacturing Quality Manager and is in Nelamangala, Bangalore, India as a Quality Specialist /Test Engineering Supervisor, will support production processes to ensure optimization of cost, quality and on time delivery of products.

You will be mainly accountable for:
