Job summary

Unacademy is seeking a Subject Matter Expert – Social Studies for the Content Team on a contractual basis. The role focuses on Grade 9/10 Social Studies content creation, explanations, questions and revision material aligned with CBSE/ICSE curricula.

The candidate should have strong writing/reviewing skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to explain concepts simply. Experience in teaching or content writing is preferred; office-based collaboration is expected in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• B.Sc./M.Sc. (Humanities/Social Studies) students or graduates preferred.
• Strong command of CBSE/ICSE Grade 9 & 10 Social Studies.
• Excellent writing and reviewing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to explain concepts in a simple and intuitive way.
• Comfortable working with Google Docs and related tools.
• Strong ownership and a quality-first mindset.
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, content writing or content review.
• Experience creating questions, solutions and revision material.
• Ability to identify conceptual gaps from a student's perspective.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, in-office environment.
