Job summary

Unacademy is seeking a Subject Matter Expert – UPSC to join our content team in Bengaluru to develop high-quality UPSC study material. You will research, create, and review UPSC-focused notes, align content with syllabus and exam trends, and craft clear, exam-oriented content.

The role requires strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a track record in UPSC preparation. Collaboration with Content and Product teams will ensure editorial excellence and timely delivery; prior UPSC

We’re looking for a Subject Matter Expert – UPSC to join our content team and help create high-quality study material for UPSC aspirants.

What You’ll Do

• Research, create, and review UPSC-focused study material and notes.
• Ensure content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with the UPSC syllabus and latest exam trends.
• Simplify complex topics into clear, structured, and exam-oriented content.
• Analyse UPSC trends and ensure important concepts are covered.
• Work closely with Content and Product teams to maintain high editorial standards.
• Must have appeared for UPSC Mains at least once.
• Strong understanding of Polity, History, Economy, Geography, Ethics, and Current Affairs.
• Excellent research, writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to create content that is both accurate and engaging.

Note: The UPSC Mains requirement may be relaxed for candidates with exceptionally strong storytelling, writing, or creative content skills.

Good to Have

• Experience in content writing/editing for UPSC or competitive exams.
• Ability to analyse PYQs and convert insights into high-quality study material.
• Experience creating educational content in a fast-paced environment.

Selection Assignment

As part of the selection process, you'll be asked to create sample notes on any two UPSC-relevant topics in a creative storytelling format.

The content should cover important UPSC points while maintaining a smooth and engaging flow.
