Job summary

Aeries Technology, Inc. is seeking an E-learning content developer to create, format and test online courses. You will style course files, convert templates to XML, and build videos, interactive elements, charts, PDFs, and glossaries.

You will work with SMEs in a team environment, ensuring browser compatibility and branding compliance. The role emphasizes instructional design knowledge, HTML/XML/CSS skills, and hands-on video tools, with opportunities to upskill and take on more complex tasks

Qualifications

• Experience in e-learning course development and programming skills in HTML/XML and CSS.
• Knowledge of instructional design is an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience with video creation tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Apply style sheets to course files, template and convert to XML.
• Create videos, animations, interactive elements and add interactions to an online course.
• Create charts, tables, PDFs, supplements and glossary; update glossary metadata pool.
• Manually test e-learning courses for browser compatibility, animations and branding adherence.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, participate in team meetings and performance reviews.
• Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and be prepared for extra hours when needed.
• Seek process improvements, identify gaps and support RCA for enhancements.
• Progressively take on more responsibilities and complex activities.
• Explore opportunities to streamline the customer journey through process or product changes.

Job Responsibilities: (Specific day-to-day responsibilities and milestones needed to achieve the objectives):

• Applying style sheets to the course files, templating and converting them into XML.
• Creating videos, animations, interactive elements and adding interactions to an online course.
• Create charts, tables, PDF supplements, and glossary. Updating and maintaining the metadata pool of glossary, images, and course information.
• Manually test the e-learning course for browser compatibility, animation functionality, adherence to style sheet and branding standards for layout design.
• Work in a team environment with subject matter experts, attend and participate in team meetings, and performance management processes (e.g., peer reviews, self-evaluation).
• Prioritize and stay focused while dealing with multiple assignments and tasks. Provide accurate and timely response. Extra hours may be required to meet deadlines.
• Meet process specific metric targets independently or with minimal support.
• Increase the understanding of the process, identify gaps and correct issues in existing processes. Suggest improvements and solutions, where needed. Support RCA for process improvement.
• Progressively take on more responsibilities and increasingly complex activities.
• Often look for opportunities to make our customers jobs easier in their end-to-end customer journey through making process, product, or business model changes.
• Contribute to accomplishing overall team goals. Upskill as per business needs and demands.

Preferred Skills (nice to have):

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Familiarity with e-learning course development and programming skills in HTML/XML and CSS style sheets.
• Knowledge and experience in instructional design is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Articulate and Adobe acrobat pro is an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience in any video making tools with creative thinking will be an advantage.
