Job summary

Cisco in Pune is seeking a senior engineering professional to lead design, deployment, and optimization of Service Provider solutions for strategic customers. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, develop migration plans, and drive architectural direction with AI and automation focus.

Required 5+ years in network engineering, strong NMS/SQL skills, and hands-on experience with VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, and Cisco NSO. Collaboration with multi-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

BS/BE/BTech degree or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in a similar job role.
Any Service Provider related certification (CCNA, CCNP - DevOps) is helpful.
Expertise in handling Network Management (NMS) tools/applications.
Advanced understanding/experience with SQL databases and PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of software programmability and automation, including Python, YAML, JSON, GitHub, Ansible, and Terraform.
Knowledge of orchestration and/or virtualization technologies.
Advanced Linux/Unix OS administration and troubleshooting skills.
Understanding of virtualization technologies, including VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of Network Automation & Controllers: Crosswork, Cisco NSO, and PCA.
Knowledge and hands‑on experience developing Agentic AI tools and using industry models.
Knowledge of NCS540, NCS560, ASR9k, NCS55xx, and Cisco 8k platforms.
Understanding of relevant Cisco technologies and delivery methods.
Foundational consulting and collaboration skills.
