Job summary

Computacenter GIS is seeking a seasoned Functional Consultant/Business Analyst to join the Group Information Services team in Bangalore. Qualifications

• 7–12 years in a Functional Consultant/Business Analyst role with 18+ months in IT Service Management.
• Experience as business analyst for application development projects in medium to large organisations.
• Experience delivering enhancements to core business systems.
• Strong preference for ServiceNow and administration of ServiceNow instances.
• Understanding ITIL processes and agile/scrum delivery.
• Ability to write high-quality requirements, test plans and user guides.

Responsibilities

• Analyze enhancement requests with stakeholders and coordinate with in-house and external teams to deliver them.
• Define requirements, processes and reporting for new modules and applications to augment the current toolset.
• Participate in workshops to align requirements across technical and business teams.
• Ensure solutions meet industry best practices and are testable against functional requirements.
• Own delivery of small enhancements and new components with thorough testing and acceptance.

Computacenter GIS Service management systems looking for a Functional Consultant/Business Analyst to join our Group Information Services team at Computacenter, this is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving team and make this role your own. You will be part of a team of business system analysts focused on implementing new functionality, application upgrades, standardisation, process improvements on differing technologies working with technical teams and business teams to successfully deliver changes in a dynamic environment in line with Computacenter standards and processes.

What you’ll do

• Work with users and key system stakeholders across Computacenter and the customer base to analyse enhancement requests, prioritise them and work with the in-house technical teams as well as external suppliers to deliver them.
• Working with a range of stakeholders across the business, define the requirements, processes, procedures and reporting for new modules, components, and applications to complement the existing toolset.
• Participate in workshops to ensure full alignment of requirements and solution across technical and business teams.
• Ensure that all such requirements are fully aligned to industry best practice and put Computacenter in a leading competitive position.
• Own the delivery of small enhancements and new components. A key part of this will be ensuring that the solutions have been thoroughly tested and meet the specified functional requirements.
• Working in geographically spread Agile team – writing user stories, performing show & tells, functional testing and creating documentation as needed for projects undertaken.

What you’ll need

• 7 to 12 years working in similar Functional Consultant/ Business Analyst role and at least 18 months+ in IT Service Management
• Experience being the business analyst for an application development project, delivered to (or within) a medium to large size company.
• Experience of analysing and delivering enhancement requests to a core business system deployed in a medium to large size company.
• Experience working with systems that support IT Service Management e.g. ServiceNow, Remedy ITSM, HP Service Centre. Strong preference for ServiceNow
• Administration experience of a ServiceNow instance including the delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions
• An understanding of Incident management, problem management, change management, release management and configuration management as it relates to ITIL
• Experience implementing systems using Agile/Scrum methodology
• Experience in the Systems Development Life Cycle processing including requirements analysis and systems design.
• Be able to write high quality requirements documents, test plans, project plans, user guides, highlight reports and release notes.
• Be able to guide the technical teams, at a detailed level, on the functionality that needs to be developed and any changes / corrections that need to be made during the development lifecycle.
• Be able to carry out hands on application functionality testing, prior to handing over for user acceptance.
• Be able to design business processes, perform requirements analysis and run requirements workshops.
• Be an excellent communicator, able to drive and influence others across the internal organisation
• Be able to take ownership of both technical and business issues
